Tax administrations will play a central role as governments move to implement the measures they have agreed to counter offshore evasion and combat tax avoidance by multinational enterprises. Global initiatives like the OECD/G20 Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS) Project and the move toward automatic exchange of financial account account information at a global level will take centre stage when Heads of Tax Administrations from 46 countries meet on 23-24 October in Dublin, Ireland.
Participants in the Ninth Meeting of the OECD Forum on Tax Administration (FTA) will discuss how tax administrations can best improve taxpayer services and tax compliance, while boosting efficiency, effectiveness and the fairness of tax systems.  The FTA is the leading international body concerned with tax administration, bringing together the heads of tax administrations from the OECD,  members of the G20 and large emerging economies.
